When is the deadline for registration?  

Virtual registration can happen right up until the event day. 

Walk-in registrations will be accepted at Sudbury and Ottawa locations. The Toronto and Kitchener locations are sold out with waitlists and no walk-ins will be accepted. 

 

Ater registering, will I receive an email confirmation?  

Yes, all registrants will receive an email confirmation. Your confirmation email will include instructions on how to access the event app and livestream.  

Note, it will take a few minutes for our registration system to sync with the event platform (ideally less than 10 minutes). If you do not gain access to the platform within 30 minutes, please email summit@hrpa.ca with subject line: Technical Support. A member of the registration team will connect with you as soon as possible. 

 

Where can I access the on-demand recording?   

You will have access to the EventMobi app for one week post-event with access to the event recordings. After this time, we will create a private viewing link and share those details with you in post-event communication. 

 

What if I’m unable to participate in the live in person or virtual event?  

Our cancellation policy can be found on the “Pricing” menu tab. 

For in-person cancellations after November 26, email summit@hrpa.ca noting your registration change. To access the livestream, login to the event app and look for the “livestream” menu tab.  

For in person substitutions after November 26, please email summit@hrpa.ca noting the registration change with the substitute name and email address. We will process your request as soon as possible to have your guest check-in smoothly and gain access to the event app. In the meantime, they can proceed to the registration desk in your location.  

 
Does the event qualify for CPD? 

Yes. At this time the programming is still in development and CPD hours will be announced on the website when they become available. 

 

When will CPD codes be issued? 

CPD codes will be issued to all attendees post-event via email. 

 

What is “curated content”? 

Curated content is a series of on-demand sessions available to Summit attendees. These sessions are eligible for CPD hours and are in addition to the live summit programming. They can be accessed in the event app and will be available post-event via private viewing link which will be issued to you by email within one week of the event. 

In Person Attendance-Related Questions

Where is the HRPA Summit being held? 

The Summit will be held in-person at four locations across Ontario with programming happening concurrently: Toronto, Kitchener, Sudbury, Ottawa. Complete venue details and maps can be found on the “Locations” menu tab. 

 

When will registration open? 

Registration and breakfast will be open starting at 7:30 am. 

 

What should I bring when attending in-person? 

We hope participants will be present and in the moment of learning and recognize that individuals learn in a variety of ways. Bring your own device – laptop, tablet, mobile device, whatever works best for you – or notebook and pen if that’s your preference.   

 

Will there be Wifi? 

Yes, complimentary Wifi will be available at each of the venues. 

 

What is the dress code? 

Business casual. 

 

Will there be an opportunity to interact with the presenters and speakers during the event?   

There is no designated speaker meeting room, however speakers are invited to stay for the duration of the event and networking breaks are the opportunity to connect. 

 

Are meals included in the registration fee for in-person formats?  

Yes. Location specific programming, including applicable breaks and meals, can be found on the “Agenda” page. 

 

Are there accommodations for dietary restrictions?  

All meals will offer choice and accommodation for dietary needs and items will be labelled. For any allergies, please speak to the banquet servers or HPRA staff onsite for specific notes.   

 

How can I get to the event venue?  Are there transit options available? 

Google map links can be found on the “locations” page. 

 

Is the event location accessible?   

Yes. Each location is equipped with options to accommodate accessibility.

Virtual Attendance-Related Questions

How do I access the virtual event live stream? 

The livestream is available via the event app menu item “livestream”. You will need to create an EventMobi account if you do not already have one.

What are the system requirements to participate in the virtual event?  

  1. You can access it in one of two ways: 
  • On the app – download EventMobi for iPhone or Android. 
  1. Input event code hrpa2024summit
  2. Log in or create an EventMobi account using the email address with which you registered for the HRPA Summit. 

 

What if I experience technical difficulties or trouble logging in during the event?  

Email summit@hrpa.ca with subject line: Technical Support 

 

Will there be an opportunity to interact with the presenters and speakers during the event?   

Yes, during the networking breaks in person and also via direct message in the event app. 

 

Will there be networking opportunities in the virtual event format?   

Yes. Explore the networking with attendees via the direct messaging option, connect during the livestream chat and explore our virtual booths.
